The Trilobyte Base+ HALO is a purpose-built helmet mounted LED light designed for airborne/MFF, tactical, law enforcement and special operations and is the most feature-packed helmet marker light on the market. Featuring not only standard constant and flashing visible colours and IR, the Trilobyte Base+ HALO adds Mockingbird Technology (ability to record and playback sequential flashes of light) and IR detect (ability to detect when the strobe is exposed to IR light). 

Mockingbird allows users to program specific sequential flashes of light in the field using any source of light (visible or IR) without tools. This feature allows various squads to create unique flashing signatures for IFF and long-range squad identification or for airborne assets to identify squad locations.

Because IR lasers and illuminators are invisible to the naked eye, the IR Detect function increases operator awareness by vibrating on the helmet to let the operator know if they have been exposed to an IR source, increasing operator survivability.

Customizable visual and near-infrared spectra are available to the user in a user-friendly, rugged, compact AA battery light that can withstand extreme environments. The Trilobyte Base+ HALO has 4 output colours: white, green, red, and IR. Each mode will provide positive vibration feedback (MultiVibe™) for tactile switch position indication. This allows the user to know what mode or function is being activated, even in the blind. When the helmet light is turned on, the default output is IR, preserving light discipline and maintaining stealth. Users can activate overt mode (visible spectrum) by squeezing the 2 side buttons for 3 seconds.

The housing is made of extremely robust and unbreakable polycarbonate. The Trilobyte can be attached to Velcro surfaces with the 3M hook velcro attached to the case back. Optionally, the Trilobyte can be MOLLE-mountable via the optional tan carry pouch, or via the Base Attachment plate to quickly mount/dismount the strobe from MOLLE-compatible kit.

Controls are separated by Left and Right side controls:

Recorded flashing signatures can be transmitted to other beacons of the same model to create distinct groups of unique, synchronized signatures.

Allows users to record and playback their own unique flashing signatures with any external light source containing a near-IR wavelength, including sunlight.

MultiVibe with Positive Tactile Feedback
Product has raised position indicators for easy tactile feedback with fingers in gloves. Product also has vibrating feedback for each position (vibrates once for position 1, twice for position 2, etc.)

Dual Button Polarity Program Switching
Separates groups of functions that can be switched between by holding down the two side buttons for specified periods of time.
