Cold Harbour BLOCK Weight Plates

The Cold Harbour BLOCK Weight Plates are lead plates sized precisely to work with our Universal Strobe Battery Pack and BLOCK counterweight pouch. These plates can be bent by hand to conform to the shape of your battery packs, pouches, and helmets. 

Most back-of-helmet battery packs alone do not have sufficient weight to counter-balance the night vision system and insufficient counterweight means the helmet will dip into the users' brow. BLOCK Weight Plates allow users to add the correct amount of counterweight ballast to the back of their helmets for optimal weight distribution and maximum long-wearing comfort. 

Precision-waterjet cut with smooth corners, the Weight Plates are discreet and nearly invisible when placed behind the battery pack and can be easily removed or repositioned as necessary. 2"-wide adhesive hook and loop velcro strips are provided so plates and battery packs can be stuck together without shifting.

If desired, the lead plates can be sprayed, taped up, or dipped in Plasti Dip or truck bed-liner to provide an even more discreet appearance. Photo #2 and 3 show two (2) coated plates. We recommend users exercise proper handling and cleaning procedures when using lead plates.

From our experience the following weights are recommended:

• PVS-14 or Tanto Monocular - 1-2x Weight Plates
• Binoculars - 3x Weight Plates; or 1 battery pack and 2 weight plates
• Ballistic helmets typically need less plates due to the weight of the back half of the helmet
