The Low Light Innovations MH-1 binocular NVG is made from a mix of aluminum and magnesium yielding one of the strongest, lightest binocular systems on the market today. In its lightest configuration (RPO 3.0 lenses), system weight is only 433g (15.3oz).

The MH-1 has all of the features that users in the modern night vision users demand: manual gain, articulating pods, auto-pod shut-off, external power capable, takes standard PVS-14 milspec optics, and takes both MX-10160 format and MX-11769 format intensifiers.

The MH-1 is not only a binocular NVG but is the start of an entire, modular ecosystem that has monocular pods and even a quad-tube optic pods in the product roadmap. Using a strong foundational bridge and components, users can scale up and down as required as the mission or requirements dictate.

Main Features:

  • Individual Pod Shut-off when rotated up
  • Manual gain
  • Dual IR illuminators
  • IPD stops
  • Modular pods (ability to split into individual monoculars)
  • Onboard power (CR123A on launch; AA variants coming in the future)
  • External power (4-pin Fischer - future module)
  • Modular mounting (dovetail on launch; ball-detent in the future)
  • Adjustable pod tension

Featuring your choice of NNVT NVT4-AG 1600+ FOM, Photonis Echo 1600-2000 FOM,  Photonis Echo+ 2000-2200 FOM, 2200+ FOM, or Photonis 4G 1800-2000 FOM white phosphor image intensifier tubes, each Manticore-R is cleaned, assembled, purged, and tested in-house with precision tools using our digital nitrogen purging rig, downdraft table, and clean room. Each device will also be tested and collimated using our in-house Hoffman night vision test set and a full test report will accompany each unit.

We now also offer a hand-select option for discerning customers with specific performance threshold requirements or characteristic needs. For more details on this premium service, please click HERE.

This build utilizes US Milspec Noctis Technologies (formerly Carson Industries) or Edmund optics for the highest levels of performance with no optical trade-offs such as reduced eyebox viewing window, excessive lens flaring, oddly-shaped flare artifacts, or distracting rings of light as seen on lightweight lens systems. Click HERE for an analysis on lightweight lens systems. Custom build options using lightweight RPO optics are available - please email us for custom build options.

To reduce system weight with no optical penalties, add the Nocturn Industries Lightweight Diopters to this build - simply add them to cart along with this device and we will assemble them together.
