The Nocturn Industries Katana Gen3 is the latest iteration of the best-selling Katana binocular night vision system. Now fully injection-molded with a proprietary blend of fiber-reinforced polymer, the Katana Gen 3 passes all MIL-STD-810H drop tests and comes with a lifetime housing warranty.

Popular features such as individual pod auto-shut-off when stowed, and simple push-button activation remains the same. New for 2024, the Katana Gen3 now has a low-battery indicator visible inside the eyepiece that blinks red under low battery conditions, giving users advance warning to replace low battery. Run time with an onboard CR123A is 25 hours but also has provisions to accept offboard battery packs via the 00B LEMO port. 

The articulating design allows for individual pod shut off, enabling the user to use one or both eyes while utilizing weapon mounted, non-passive aiming systems. End users will be able to mount and dismount vehicles easier with the low profile of the Katana Gen3 when stowed. The Katana features the original Friction Lock Interpupillary Adjustment feature so you can set it and forget it with no additional tools. This unit may be lightweight but does not compromise strength as it exceeds MIL-STD-810G and had been drop tested beyond NATO or TOP standards (6 feet to concrete in 6 different orientations on a single device).
