August 22, 2026 - "Will my package be hit with 50% tariffs?"
On August 22, 2026, the US Government imposed 50% tariffs on select Canadian products importing into the United States. Cold Harbour Supply cannot and will not modify HTS codes to intentionally avoid tariffs and any affected items will have the applicable tariff applied. Previously-imposed tariffs which began in August of 2025 (see below) ranging from 0-25% will still apply. Items made elsewhere (Europe, Asia, etc), they will carry none or some tariffs as mandated by US CBP, based on the country of origin of that product.
Made in USA Products - For products that are made in the United States (eg: Noisefighters, 4D Tactical, Nocturn, Noctis, Tracer Tactical, AB Nightvision, Team Wendy, etc), these should not be subject to any tariff as they are made in the United States. However, there may still be a UPS Customs Brokerage fee applied to your package, due to the Removal of the De Minimis Treatment. Cold Harbour Supply Inc. has no control over how UPS and US CBP handles each shipment upon entry, and any outstanding duties and fees must be paid prior to delivery of your package.
Cold Harbour Supply Inc. has no control over how UPS or US CBP rates each package and at times could be at the agent's discretion. In addition, because items now have to go through a formal customs clearance process, additional UPS-imposed fees may apply regardless of the existence of tariffs.

August 29, 2025 - "Why am I having to pay extra fees on my package?"
As of August 29, 2025, the United States White House removed Duty-Free De Minimis treatment for packages entering the United States.
Previous to August 29, 2025, packages valued at $800 or below were able to enter the United States without a formal customs declaration process. The removal of the "De minimis" treatment for these low-value shipments has meant that all packages entering the US will need to go through formal customs clearance with UPS, triggering customs brokerage fees. These fees are collected by UPS and remitted to the United States Customs and Border Protection.
In addition, the White House has enacted additional tariffs on imports from Canada on February 1, 2025
While some of our products are under CUSMA and tariff exempt, a formal customs clearance process will trigger customs fees and taxes.
We have done as much due diligence as we can on your package prior to shipping to ensure minimal or no duties are owed (including filing USMCA / CUSMA paperwork and the appropriate customs invoice). However, depending on the item, its HS/HTS code, Country of Origin, tariffs may still be applied by US CBP upon entry into the United States.
You will receive an automated email from UPS detailing your charges (if any) and you must pay them prior to delivery of your package. Refusal of the package constitutes as a cancellation and upon return of the package to us, a refund in line with our Refund/Cancellation Policy will be applied.
