The Protection Group DK ARCH Gen3 helmet is a European-made ballistic helmet tested by an independent US DOD-certified facility to NIJ 0106.01 Level 3A standards and is capable of stopping most handgun threats and fragmentation. With the shell made in Eastern Europe from Kevlar Aramid fibre from Dupont, and the helmet finished in Denmark, the ARCH is rated to stop rounds up to a .44 Magnum, including the following:

• .44 magnum
• .357 SIG
• 9mm

Backface deformation circumference is limited to only 75mm around the impact area and backface deformation depth is reduced by up to 50% (according to HPW-TP-0401.01B IIIA), where the trauma is on average 11.2 mm against a 9mm.

In addition, the ARCH GEN 3 helmet has been tested up to 700 M/S against fragments and shrapnel (17 grains) according to STANAG2920, which is the NATO standard for testing of ballistic materials.

A custom-formulated coating protects the kevlar aramid helmet from moisture, oils and other corrosive liquids, extending the life of the helmet in both land and maritime applications.

The ARCH Gen 3 helmet weighs only 1.35 kg / 2.97 lbs as a complete helmet in size L, and 1.4 kg / 3.08 lbs in size XL . This makes it one of the lightest ballistic helmets on the market.

The front shroud is compatible with all NATO standard night vision accessories such as the Cadex NVG mount or Wilcox G24-series of night vision mounts. The shroud is drilled in the standard MARSOC/WARCOM 3-hole pattern should users wish to swap the shroud out for a direct-mount such as the CHIP + Cadex Combo.

The side rails are compatible with all standard Ops-Core accessories such as AMPs, S&S M-Ax light mounts, and other Ops-Core rail-mounted headsets (Peltor) 

The helmet ships with custom memory-foam helmet pads similar to our popular 4D helmet pads, as well as a BOA helmet strap strap system that extends lower on the user's nape, for quick, comfortable adjustments.
