The Tac Aerial Avata 2 Ready-to-Fly Kit is a heavily-modified, duty-ready version of the DJI Fly More kit and includes the following:

  • DJI Avata 2 with Tac Aerial Hammerhead Light Kit installed (over 3000 lumens onboard)
  • DJI Goggles 3 (With or Without Tac Aerial Brow Pad Delete)
  • Tac Aerial Goggles 3 Mount (G3M)
  • 3 DJI Batteries
  • DJI Motion Controller
  • Custom hard case

The DJI Avata 2 has become a staple in law enforcement, disaster recovery, and search and rescue. Deployed in situations where it may be too risky to send humans or animals, the Avata 2 can work in the tightest and most austere environments. Tac Aerial takes the entire Avata 2 ecosystem to the next level by adding critical enhancements and modifications to extend usability, increase interoperability, and operator and system safety.

Hammerhead Light Kit - This light kit is bolted directly onto the Avata 2 and is machined from 6061T6 aluminum and crash-tested. Offering 2000+ out-the-front lumens and 1000+ lumens on the bottom, the Hammerhead light kit gives night time and zero-visibility capability to the Avata 2. Unlike lights that are haphazardly taped on, the Hammerhead is fully integrated and is powered off the Avata 2's main battery, allowing operators to power on the light kit instantly and without the need to remember to charge separate lights.

The Light Kit is placed in optimal locations to minimize air flow disruptions and provide the highest amount of light for the optical flow sensors to work in light- and GPS-denied environments. Flight time is reduce by only 4 minutes with all lights on, in a static hover test.

Tac Aerial Goggles 3 Mount - Maintaining bump or ballistic protection and communications is vital when flying sUAS systems in tactical or SAR applications. The Tac Aerial G3M (Goggles 3 Mount) allows operators to mount their DJI Goggles 3 to an NVG-compatible helmet (helmet mount not included). An optional modification to the Goggles 3 can remove the factory brow pad for improved ergonomics. The TA-modified Goggles 3 removes the factory brow pad and lengthens the battery pack cable. When used with the Tac Aerial Goggles 3 Mount, this setup allows operators to mount the Goggles 3 just like NVGs and be able to quickly stow and deploy the Goggles 3. The battery pack can be mounted to the rear of the helmet, adding a functional counterweight.
